15Body Positioning TroubleshootingBody positioning control components are located under the power chair. (In the event of a motorpower failure, check to make sure connections are tight). The ISM (Intelligent Seating Mechanism)controls the actuators for positioning of your chair. If the chair will not stand or positioning systemsfail, try a hard reset by disconnecting the main power at the circuit breaker. Leave the circuit breakerpulled out for five minutes before pushing back in (reference Troubleshooting- Hard Reset). If thecomponent is not functioning andthe chair will not move to a standingposition to access the ISM, the seatpan may be removed for easieraccess.Use Figure 15 to the right to referencethe positioning of the cables to yourcontrol system.Joystick WiringThe following pictures are intended toshow the locations of a loose-fitting cablethat could lead to error messages or amalfunction. Use Figure 16 to reference thepositioning of the joystick cable. This cablecan be followed from the joystick down tothe ISM. If necessary, also check theconnection of the second cable from theISM to the power module as shown inFigure 17.Figure 15Figure 16 Figure 17 |
