Regency Wood Insert & Hearth Heater 9installationDiagram 1:H2100M and I3100LFaceplate Assemblya) H2100M and i3100l insert1) Slide the spring nuts (supplied) over theslots in the insert’s side convection panels(the spring nuts may need to be squeezedwith a pair of pliers first, to help them stayin position).2) Screw the side faceplate panels, (item A inthe diagram) one to each side.3) Using the top panel (item B in the diagram)as a gauge, check that the side panels arewithin approximately 1/4" of the overall width.If the difference is greater than this, usethe supplied washers to attain the requiredwidth.B) all unitsThe unit may now be slid into final position andattached to the connection system.Once connection is made, the insulation stripsshould be installed between the insert faceplatesand the fireplace face. The faceplate top maynow be installed (with insulation strip behind)by aligning its brackets with the top flange onthe side shields and the angle iron bar on theinsert top. The faceplate trim may be installedto the edge of the faceplate at this time.note: it may be easier to install the insula-tion, faceplate top and faceplate trimwith the unit pulled slightly away fromthe fireplace face. if this is done, bevery careful not to disturb the con-nector when shifting the unit to itsfinal position.Now that your insert is installed, check oncemore that all the clearances from the unit toany combustible materials are correct as listedearlier.6) Once the above items have been checked,slide your insert into position after first po-sitioning the flue liner and offset if required.(Re-install raincap at completion of installa-tion).Flush Inserts Hearth Heater4) If the floor of your fireplace is below thelevel of the fireplace opening, adjust theinsert's levelling bolts to accommodate thedifference. When additional shimming isrequired, use non-combustible masonry orsteel shims.5) Measure approximately the alignment ofthe flue liner with the position of the smokeoutlet hole on the insert to check for pos-sible offset.
