The fan can be hard wired if de-sired. The outlet should be installed in the receptacle box on the left handside by a qualifi ed electrician. The neutral (wider) slot of the polarizedoutlet should be at the top.Unit must be grounded at all times. Do not cut the ground terminaloff under any circumstances.1. Remove lower base cover by tilting forward and lifting out each side torelease.2. Loosen four (4) screws (two on each side) inside of the bottom panel ofthe clean front, slide panel out.3. Turn the fan base on its side (with base facing forward) and then slidethe fan in towards the rear of the unit. Turn the fan upright and slip itover the two mounting studs. Take care not to damage the insulation onthe fan base.Ensure the fan blades do not rub against the valve tubing.4. Connect the power cord and fan ground wires to the ground lug. Referto wiring diagram5. Slide the thermodisc/cover assembly on to the bracket clip on theunderside of the firebox.Thermodisc Clip6. Install the Fan Control Module (FCM) on the base of the unit to the leftof the gas valve. Plug the FCM into the outlet.7. Plug in the fan power cord to the Fan Control Module into the outletmarked “Fan”. Plug the FCM-COM wire from the remote control wiringharness into the location on the Fan Control Module marked “COM”.Turn the switch on the Fan Control Module to the ON position. ON is tothe left. The “O” is the off positionTO REMOVE THE FAN1) Turn the power off.2) Reverse the above instructionsMAINTENANCE: The sealed bearings are lubricated so there is no needto lubricate them further. Extra lubricant will cause more lint and dust tobuild up causing the premature failure of the bearings.Regular cleaning and vacuuming of the fan area will add to the life of themotorIMPORTANT:THESE FANS COLLECT A LOT OF DUST FROMWITHIN YOUR HOME. ENSURE YOU MAINTAIN THESEFAN MOTORS ON A REGULAR BASIS BY VACUUMINGTHE FAN BLADES AND THE HOUSING WITH A SOFTBRUSH NOZZLE.1P33CE
