Do not clean the glasswhen hot.In the event that you break your glass by impact,purchase your replacement from an authorizedRegency ® dealer only, and follow our step-by-step instructions for replacement.GOLD-PLATEDLOUVERSThe 24 carat gold-plated finish on the louversand trim requires little maintenance, and needonly be cleaned with a damp cloth.DO NOT use abrasive materials or chemicalcleaners, as they may harm the finish and voidthe warranty.Clean any fi ngerprints off before turningthe unit on.LOG REPLACEMENTThe unit should never be used with broken logs.Turn off the gas valve and allow the unit to coolbefore opening door and carefully remove thelogs. (The pilot light generates enough heat toburn someone.) If for any reason a log shouldneed replacement, you must use the properreplacement log. The position of these logsmust be as shown in the diagrams under LogInstallation.Note: Improper positioning of logs maycreate carbon build-up and willseverely alter the unit's performancewhich is not covered underwarranty.THERMOPILE /THERMOCOUPLE1) Remove the top louver and open the bottomlouvers.2) Open and remove door.3) Remove front logs.4) Remove burner.5) Loosen the thermocouple or thermopile witha 7/16" wrench.6) Disconnect thermocouple by looseningnut from the valve with a 9mm wrench.Disconnect thermopile by loosening 2screws marked TP on the valve.7) Peel the silicone from the hole in the baseof the unit and drop the thermocouple orthermopile down from the bracket and pullit out of the unit.8) Reinstall the new ones in reverse ordermaking sure to seal the hole in the fireboxwith silicone in order to maintain the sealintegrity of the firebox.Flush Glass ReplacementRemove the flush door front (as per instructions inthe "Standard Flush Door" section). Remove the4 glass clips from each corner. Slide in the newr e p l a c e m e n tglass. Push the4 glass clipsback onto theframe.The glass musthave gasketingaround it.Caution: Wear gloves when removingdamaged or broken glass.Bay Glass Replacement1) Remove the door from the unit and placeon a soft surface to prevent scratching.2) Remove the nuts holding the glass clips inplace and remove.3) Replace the glass. The glass must havegasketing around it.4) Reverse the previous steps, replace theglass clips and fasten with the nuts but do notover tighten, as this can break the glass.5) Replace door on the fireplace and checkthe seal.WARNING: Do not operate theappliance with the glass panelsremoved, cracked or broken.Replacement of the glass panelsshould be done by a licensed orqualified service person.
