Regency ® E33S-1 Sunrise Gas Insert 11INSTALLATIONINSTALLATIONGAS PIPEPRESSURE TESTINGThe appliance must be isolated from the gassupply piping system by closing its individualmanual shut-off valve during any pressuretesting of the gas supply piping system at testpressures equal to or less than 1/2 psig. (3.45kPa). Disconnect piping from valve at pressuresover 1/2 psig. The manifold pressure is controlled by a regulatorbuilt into the gas control, and should be checkedat the pressure test point.NOTE: To properly check gas pressure, bothinlet and manifold pressures shouldbe checked using the valve pressureports on the valve.1) Make sure the valve is in the "OFF"position.2) Loosen the "IN" and/or "OUT" pressuretap(s), turning counterclockwise with a 1/8"wide flat screwdriver.3) Attach manometer to "IN" and/or "OUT"pressure tap(s) using a 5/16" ID hose.4) Light the pilot and turn the valve to "ON"position.5) The pressure check should be carried outwith the unit burning and the setting shouldbe within the limits specified on the safetylabel.6) When finished reading manometer, turnoff the gas valve, disconnect the hose andtighten the screw (clockwise) with a 1/8" flatscrewdriver. Note: Screw should be snug, but do not over tighten.GAS INSERTAERATION SYSTEMThe burner aeration is factory set but may needadjusting due to either the local gas supply oraltitude. Open the air shutter for a blue flameor close for a more yellow flame. The burner assembly will need to be removedin order to adjust burner aeration if required.See steps 1-4 in "Conversion Kit# 434-969from NG to LP".Minimum Air Shutter Opening:1/8" Natural Gas1/4" PropaneSIT VALVE DESCRIPTION1) Gas on/off knob2) Manual high/low adjustment3) Pilot Adjustment4) Thermocouple Connection - option5) Manifold (Outlet) Pressure Tap6) Inlet Pressure Tap1 2 3 456IN OUT7) Pilot Outlet8) Main Gas Outlet9) Alternative TC Connection PointCAUTION: Carbon will be produced if theair shutter is closed too much.Note: Any damage due to carboningresulting from improperly settingthe aeration controls is NOTcovered under warranty.Note: Aeration Adjustment should onlybe performed by an authorized FPIInstaller at the time of installationor service.
