44 | LRI6E / HRI6E Direct Vent Gas Insert|44 maintenanceGLASS CRYSTAL BURNER REMOVAL / INSTALLATION (HRI6E)Care must be taken when installing the burner into the firebox.Do not damage, knock or scrap the pilot assembly.The flame sensor and ignition lead are fragile and can be damagedeasily.1) If already installed, remove glass crystals and ceramic spa stones.2) Remove filler sections from right and left sides of burner. Discard filler sec-tion if enamel panels are to be installed - see below.1) Lift the burner assembly with both hands. Point the mixing tube towardsthe rear of the firebox. Lean the rear of the burner assembly downward.Partially lift the burner assembly so that the mixing tube will then slideinto the air shutter.2) Lower the front edge of the burner assembly so that the burner frontmounting tab rests on the burner mounting bracket left and right, nearthe front of the firebox. Place the PilotCover over the rear gap between the Burner and the Media Tray. This willsit around the Pilot Provision.4) Distribute the glass crystals throughout the Media Tray. Lift the burner with both hands.4) Pull gently upwards and outwards to the front of the firebox.5) Continue onto burner installation.
