That is why allSaeco machines can be equipped with the INTENZA+ fi lter. Thisfi lter is easy to use and its sophisticated technology is effectivein preventing limescale build-up. This way, water will always beperfect and will give a much more intense aroma to your espressocoffee.The anti-scale fi lter should be replaced wheneverindicated by the machine. Before descaling, re-move the anti-scale fi lter from the water tank.Measuring water hardness is very important inorder to correctly manage the "INTENZA+" waterfi lter and the frequency with which the machine must bedescaled.1 Remove the "INTENZA+" water fi lter from its packaging. Thefi lter should be set according to the measurements performed toset water hardness.Use the water hardness test strip provided with the machine. Setthe "Intenza Aroma System" as specified on the filter packaging(see section 9.11).A = Soft waterB = Hard water (standard)C = Very hard water2 Immerse the "INTENZA+" water fi lter vertically in cold water(with its opening positioned upwards) and delicately press itssides so as to let the air bubbles out.3 Remove the tank from the machine and empty it. Removethe small white fi lter from the tank and store it in a dry placesheltered from dust.
