16Installation ProcedureEnglishInstallation ProcedureStep 5 Purging inert gas from the fancoil unitThe fan coil unit comes with nitrogen gas (inert gas)charged at the factory. Therefore, all inert gas must bepurged before connecting the water piping.Open the sealed tube at the end of the piping. The gas inthe piping comes out.Water outlet sideWater inlet sideBe sure to check the water inlet and outlet locations.CAUTION࡙ To prevent dirt or foreign objects from getting intothe pipes during installation, purge nitrogen gas(inert gas) immediately before connecting the piping.࡙ If nitrogen gas (inert gas) is not purged when yourotate and open the sealed tubes at the end of thepiping, do not install the fan coil unit because it is anabnormal one.Step 6 Connecting the water pipes1 Purge inert gas.࡙ The fan coil unit comes with nitrogen gas (inertgas) charged at the factory for protection of theunit during transportation.Remove the protective caps from the piping topurge inert gas.CAUTION࡙ To prevent foreign objects from entering the piping,do not remove the cap until the piping connection isready.2 Connect the pipes.࡙ Be sure to use a metal pipe for the piping outlet.࡙ Be careful not to erroneously change the pipinginlet and outlet connections.(Outlet: air vent valve)࡙ Be sure to attach a valve to each of the pipinginlet and outlet.࡙ Be sure to insulate all of the water pipes and thedrain pipe.࡙ The maximum operating water pressure of the fancoil is 1.0 MPa. Design your air conditioning systemso that the operating water pressure becomes1.0 MPa or less.࡙ Design the piping so that air clogging does notoccur.࡙ Use Teflon tape on the T-type screws to preventwater leakage.
