TroubleshootingRefer to the following chart if the air conditioner operates abnormally. This may savetime and unnecessary expenses.PROBLEM SOLUTIONThe air conditionerdoes not work at all. • Check power status and then operate the air conditioner again.• Plug in or switch on the circuit breaker and then operate the airconditioner again.• Ensure Isolator is switch on.• Check if you have set the Off Timer. Operate the air conditioneragain by pressing the Power button. The temperatureadjustment is notworking.• Check if you have selected Fan/Fast mode. In these modes, desiredtemperature is set to auto and you cannot adjust the temperature.Cool/Warm (ARHP)air does not come outof the air conditioner.• Check if the set temperature is higher(during Cool mode)/lower(during Heat mode (ARHP)) than the current temperature.Press the Temp + or - button on the remote controller to changethe set temperature.• Check if the Air filter is blocked by dirt. If there is a lot of duston the Air filter, cooling(heating (ARHP)) performance maydecrease. Clean them frequently.• Check if the outdoor unit is covered or installed near the obstacle.Take the cover off and take the obstacle away.• Check if the air conditioner is operating in defrost mode. When theice formed in winter or the outdoor temperature is too low, theair conditioner operates in defrost mode automatically. In defrostmode, indoor fan stops and warm air does not come out (ARHP).• If the doors or windows are open, it may cause bad cooling(heating (ARHP)) performance.Close the doors and windows.• Check if the air conditioner has just been turned on after stoppingcooling or heating operation. In this case, just a fan will run toprotect the outdoor unit compressor.• Check if the pipe length is too long. When the pipe length exceedsmaximum allowable pipe length, cooling (heating (ARHP))performance may decrease.Air flow adjustmentis not working. • Check if you have selected mode. In cool mode, youcannot adjust the air flow direction. (If the mode isoperating in Heat mode, you can adjust the air flow direction.(ARHP))English-26A3050 CB&XL&CH_IB&IM_DB68-04138A_HP&CO_EN.indd 26 2013-12-28 14:43:40
