ENGENGUsing the Bookmark FunctionThe Bookmark function lets you select parts of a DVD or VCD (MENU OFF mode) so that youcan quickly find the section at a later time.Using the Bookmark Function (DVD/VCD)11 During play, press the BOOKMARK button onthe remote. The Bookmark icons will bedisplayed.22 Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to move to thedesired bookmark icon.33 When you reach the scene you want to mark,press the ENTER button. The icon will change toa number (1, 2, or 3).44 Press the BOOKMARK button to turn off thedisplay.Recalling a Marked Scene11 During play, press the BOOKMARK button onthe remote.22 Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select amarked scene.33 Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to skip to themarked scene.Clearing a Bookmark11 During play, press the BOOKMARK buttonon the remote.22 Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select thebookmark number you want to delete.33 Press the CLEAR button to delete a bookmarknumber. Press the BOOKMARK button to turnoff display.NOTE• Up to three scenes may be marked ata time.• When in VCD 2.0 mode (MENU ONmode), this function does not work.• Depending on the disc, the Bookmarkfunction may not work.Using the Zoom & 3D Sound FunctionsUsing the Zoom Function (DVD/VCD)11 During play or pause mode, press the ZOOMbutton on the remote. A square will bedisplayed on screen.22 Use the UP/DOWN or LEFT/RIGHTbutton to select the part of the screen youwant to zoom in on.33 Press the ENTER button.- During DVD play, press ENTER to zoom in2X/4X/2X/Normal in order.- During VCD play, press ENTER to zoom in2X/normal in order.Using the 3D Sound FunctionThe simulated surround effect depends on the disccontents. If you connect the unit to your stereosystem, you can enhance sound quality andproduce a greater surround effect. This feature isuseful when you are using the DVD player with atwo channel stereo through the analog outputs.(Discs which are recorded with LPCM or DTS willnot work. When the DIGITAL OUTPUT or MPEG-2is set to BITSTREAM in the SETUP MENU, the 3DSound function will not work.)11 During play, press the 3D button. The 3DSOUND mark will be displayed on screen.(Be sure the DIGITAL OUTPUT is set to PCM.)22 Press the UP/DOWN buttons to turn the 3DSound feature on or off.NOTE• 3D Sound is possible only on discsrecorded using DOLBY SURROUND orDOLBY DIGITAL.
