Wi‑Ficommunication requires accessto a wireless Access Point (AP).Turn Wi-Fi On or OffTurning Wi-Fi on makes your device able to discoverand connect to compatible in-range wireless APs.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Settings.2. Tap Wi-Fi, and then tap On/Off to turn Wi-Fi onor off.Wi-Fi Status IndicatorsStatus bar icons indicate your current Wi-Ficonnection status:• When Wi-Fi is connected, active, andcommunicating with a wireless Access Point,Wi-Fi active is displayed in the Status bar.• If a Wi-Fi access point is available, but yourdevice is not connected to it, Wi-Fi availableis displayed. It may also display if there is acommunication issue with the target wirelessAccess Point.Wi-Fi NetworksTo scan for a Wi-Fi network and connect to it:1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Settings.2. Tap Wi-Fi, and then tap On/Off to turn Wi-Fi on.• When Wi-Fi is turned on, your deviceautomatically scans for available networks anddisplays them.3. Tap the network you want to connect to.• When you select an open network, you areautomatically connected to the network.Otherwise, enter a password to connect.Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi NetworkYou can connect your device to a Wi-Fi networkmanually.1.
