These applications enforce remote or local devicesecurity policies.Some of the features a device administration applicationmight control are:• Setting the number of failed password attempts before thedevice is restored to factory settings.• Automatically locking the device.• Restoring factory settings on the device.Note: If a device uses multiple enabled administrationapplications, the strictest policy is enforced.1. From the Settings screen, touch Security.2. Touch Device administrators, to select a deviceadministrator, and follow the prompts.If no device administrators are listed, you candownload them from the Play Store.3. Touch Unknown sources to download and installnon-Market applications.Warning! Enabling this option causes your tablet and personaldata to be more vulnerable to attack by applicationsfrom unknown sources.4. Touch Verify Apps to cause your tablet to either blockor warn you before installing apps that may causeharm to your tablet.Security Update ServiceTo set security update service settings:1. From the Settings screen, touch Security.2. Touch Security policy updates to automatically checkfor changes to the security policy and download anyupdates to improve security and service.3.
