43 ContactsApplicationsCreate a Shortcut to a FavoriteYou can create a shortcut to a favorite on the Homescreen, to access their information directly from theHome screen.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Contacts.2. Tap FAVORITES, and then touch and hold acontact to select it.3. Tap More options > Add shortcut toHome screen. The new shortcut displays in anempty area of the Home screen.GroupsYou can use groups to organize your contacts. Yourdevice comes with preloaded groups, and you cancreate your own. You might create a group for yourfamily, for coworkers, or a team. Groups make iteasy to find contacts, and you can send messagesto the members of a group.Create a Group1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Contacts.2. Tap GROUPS, and then tap Create group.3. Tap fields to enter information about the group:• Group name: Enter a name for the new group.• Add member: Select contacts to add to thenew group, and then tap DONE.4. Tap SAVE.Edit a Group1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Contacts.2. Tap GROUPS, and then tap a group.3. Tap More options > Edit group and enter anew name or add members.4. Tap SAVE.Send an Email to a GroupYou can send a message or an email to members ofa group.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Contacts.2. Tap GROUPS, and then tap a group.3. Tap More options > Send email.4. Only group members that have email addressesin their records are shown. Tap contacts toselect them, or tap the check box at the top ofthe screen to select all, and then tap DONE.5. Choose an account and follow the prompts.Delete a GroupPreset groups, such as Family, cannot be deleted.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Contacts.2. Tap GROUPS.3. Tap More options > Delete groups.4. Tap groups to select them or tap the check boxat the top of the screen to select all, and then tapDONE.5. Tap Group only to only delete the group or tapGroups and members to delete the groups andthe contacts in the groups.
