182Searching for Music in Your Library1. From within the Play Music application, tap(Search) to search through your available songs.2. Type the name of an artist, album, song, or playlist.Matching songs are displayed in a list below the searchbox.3. Tap a matching song to play it, tap a matching album,artist or playlist to view a list of its’ songs.Changing Music Settings From within the Play Music application, press andthen make a selection.• Choose on device music: In addition to playing the music thatyou add to your online library, you can play music stored onyour device’s internal storage. Then you can listen to musicwhen you have no Internet connection. To do this, make someof your online music available offline. For more information,refer to “Making Online Music Available Offline” onpage 186.• Settings: Provides access to the Play Music settings.• Help: Displays application help information.Listening to MusicYou can listen to music by using your device’s built-inspeakers, through a wired headset, or through a wirelessBluetooth stereo headset. Press the volume keys on the side of the device toactivate on-screen volume control, then touch anddrag on the scale to set volume.Playing Music From within the Play Music application, tap a song inyour library to listen to it.The Now playing screen opens and the song youtouched or the first song in the album or playlist startsto play. The tracks in the current list play in order untilyou reach the end of the list (unless you choose arepeat option). Otherwise, playback stops only if youstop it, even when you switch applications.Note: If you navigate away from the Now playing screen in theMusic application, the Now Playing bar appears at thebottom of the screen.
