Your phone’s Emailapplication lets you access and manage multiple emailaccounts simultaneously in one convenient location.You can set up Gmail and Internet-based email on yourdevice. Corporate accounts may require assistance from yourlocal systems administrator.To send and receive email messages through an ISP (InternetService Provider) account, or if you wish to use your deviceto access your corporate email through a VPN (Virtual PrivateNetwork), you need to set up an IMAP or POP account.The following types of accounts can be set up using thedevice’s Email app:• POP3 (Post Office Protocol) - This protocol is supported by mostISPs (Internet service providers) and common among consumerapplications. POP3 is the current standard.• IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) - This protocol isfrequently used in large networks and commercial settings.IMAP4 is the current standard.• Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync - This protocol is frequentlyused with a large corporate email server system and providesaccess to email, contact, and calendar synchronization.Creating an Internet Email Account1. From a Home screen, tap Apps ➔ Email.Note: If you have already set up an email account and want toadd an additional email account, tap Menu, andthen tap Settings ➔ Add account.2.
