7.9PROBLEM SOLVINGClearing Paper Jams2 Remove any misfed paper by pulling itout by the visible edge from the tray.Make sure that all of the paper isproperly aligned in the tray.Note: If paper has entered the toner cartridge area, follow the instructions on page 7.10. It is easier toremove such jams from the inside of the printer than the paper input area.Input Area1 Slide out Auto tray to expose thejammed paper.Note: If the paper is jammed in thepaper feed area and cannot beaccessed from inside the printer, removeTray 1 from the printer and carefully pullthe jammed paper free from the printer.3 Slide the tray back into the printer.
