Using a network-connected machine3 Insert the supplied software CD into your CD-ROM drive.4 Select the Wireless Setting and Installation option.• Install Now: If you have already set up the wirelessnetwork, click this button to install the machine’s driver touse the wireless network machine. If you have not set upthe wireless network, click the Wireless Setting andInstallation button to set up the wireless network beforeyou click this button.• Wireless Setting and Installation: Configure the wirelessnetwork settings of your machine with a USB cable theninstall the machine driver. This is only for users who havenot set up the wireless connection before.5 Read the License Agreement, and select I accept the termsof the License Agreement. Then, click Next.6 The software searches the wireless network.If the search has failed, you may check if the USB cable isproperly connected between the computer and machine,and follow the instructions on the window.7 After searching, the window shows the wireless networkdevices. Select the name (SSID) of the access point you areusing and click Next.If you cannot find the network name you want to choose, orif you want to set the wireless configuration manually, clickAdvanced Setting.• Enter the wireless Network Name: Enter the SSID ofaccess point you want (SSID is case-sensitive).• Operation Mode: Select Infrastructure.• Authentication: Select an authentication type.Open System: Authentication is not used, and encryptionmay or may not be used, depending on the need for datasecurity.Shared Key: Authentication is used. A device that has aproper WEP key can access the network.WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal: Select this option toauthenticate the print server based on WPA Pre-SharedKey. This uses a shared secret key (generally called Pre-Shared Key pass phrase) which is manually configured onthe access point and each of its clients.
