18AppendixTroubleshooting GuideBefore you call a repair person for your oven,check this list of possible problems andsolutions.Neither the oven’s display nor theoven operate.• Properly insert the plug into a groundedoutlet.• If the outlet is controlled by a wall switch,make sure the wall switch is turned on.• Remove the plug from the outlet, wait tenseconds, then plug it in again.• Reset the circuit breaker or replace anyblown fuse.• Plug another appliance into the outlet; if theother appliance doesn’t work, have aqualified electrician repair the outlet.• Plug the oven into a different outlet.The oven’s display works, but thepower won’t come on.• Make sure the door is closed securely.• Check to see if packing material or othermaterial is stuck to the door seal.• Check for door damage.• Press Cancel twice and re-enter all cookinginstructions.The power goes off before the settime has elapsed.• If there has not been a power outage,remove the plug from the outlet, wait tenseconds, then plug it in again. If there was apower outage, the time indicator will display“88:88” Reset the clock and any cookinginstructions.• Reset the circuit breaker or replace anyblown fuse.The food is cooking too slowly.• Make sure the oven is on its own 15 ampcircuit line. Operating another appliance onthe same circuit can cause a voltage drop. Ifnecessary, move the oven to its own circuit.You see sparks or arcing.• Remove any metallic utensils, cookware, ormetal ties. If using foil, use only narrow stripsand allow at least one inch between the foiland interior oven walls.The turntable makes noises orsticks.• Clean the turntable, roller ring and ovenfloor.• Make sure the turntable and roller ring arepositioned correctly.Using your microwave causes TV orradio interference.• This is similar to the interference caused byother small appliances, such as hair dryers.Move your microwave further away fromother appliances, like your TV or radio.
