When your phonefinds a signal, it enters standby mode – the phone’s idle state. Atthis point, you are ready to begin making and receiving calls.If your phone is unable to find a signal after 15 minutes ofsearching, a PowerSave feature is automatically activated. Whena signal is found, your phone automatically returns to standbymode.In PowerSave mode, your phone searches for a signal periodicallywithout your intervention. You can also initiate a search for serviceby pressing any key (when your phone is turned on).Turning Your Phone Off Press and hold for two seconds until you see thepowering-down animation on the display screen.Your screen remains blank while your phone is off (unless thebattery is charging).Battery and ChargerBattery CapacityYour phone is equipped with a Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery. Itallows you to recharge your battery before it is fully drained. Thebattery provides up to 6.3 hours of continuous digital talk time.When the battery level is low, the battery icon blinks red and a“Low Battery Recharge soon” message appears on the screen.The phone sounds an alert every 5 minutes while the battery islow, and every 1 minute during a call.Tip The PowerSave feature conserves your battery power whenyou are in an area where there is no signal.WARNING Use only Samsung-approved batteries andchargers with your phone.
