5. 11TroubleshootingProblemThe paper keepsjamming.Possible Cause RemedyThere is too much paper in the papertray.Remove excess paper from thepaper tray. If printing special media,use the MP Tray for printing.Printing is tooslow.If using Windows 3.1x, Print Managermay be disabled.From the Control Panel Printersmenu, check the Use Print Managerbox.If using Windows 3.1x, theBackground Printing item in theOptions menu of Print Manager maybe set incorrectly.Select Background Printing fromthe Options menu in the PrintManager.If using Windows 95/98 or NT 4.0,the spooling setting may be setincorrectly.The computer may have insufficientrandom-access memory (RAM).From the Start menu, selectSettings and Printers. Click theSamsung 6100 Series PCL6 iconwith the right mouse button, selectProperties, click the Details tab, andthen click the Spool Settings button.Select the desired spool setting fromthe available choices.Install more random-access memory(RAM) in your computer. See“Memory and PostScript SIMMs”(page 6.2).An incorrect type of paper is beingused.Use only paper that meets thespecifications required by the printer.An incorrect output method is beingused.Items such as thick paper should notbe printed using the standard facedown stacker. Use the face-up outputstacker instead.
