Connect the household water line to theassembled compression fitting.- If you are using copper tubing, slip thecompression nut (B) (not included) and ferrule(not included) on copper tubing (not included) asshown.- If you are using plastic tubing (B), insert themolded end(Bulb) of the plastic tubing (B) into thecompression fitting.Do not use without the molded end(Bulb) ofthe plastic tubing (B).2. Tighten the compression nut (B) onto thecompression fitting. Do not over-tighten thecompression nut (B).3. Turn water on and check for any leakage.Only connect the water line to a drinkablewater source.If you have to repair or disassemble the waterline, cut off 1/4“ of the plastic tubing to makesure you get a snug, leak-free connection.BEFORE uSING IcEMAkERRemove- Hold the handle as shown inFigure1.- Slightly pull up the bottom part.- Take out the ice bucket slowly.Install- Assemble the icemaker in thereverse order of disassembly.- Push the bucket in firmly untilyou hear a clicking sound.- If the bucket does not fit into itsplace, turn the gear handle on itsback by 90 degrees and reinstallit again as shown in Figure 2.Before calling service- Any sounds you hear whenthe ice maker dumps ice intothe bucket are part of normaloperation.- If you don’t dispense ice for along period of time, the ice mayform clumps in the ice bucket.If ice clumps form, remove theremaining ice and empty thebucket.- When ice does not come out, check for ice stuckin the chute and remove it.- When Ice Off blinks on the display panel,reinsert the bucket and/or make sure it’sinstalled properly.- When the door is open, the Ice and waterdispenser do not work.- If you close the door hard, it may cause waterspilling over the ice maker.- To prevent dropping the ice bucket, use bothhands when removing it.- To prevent injury, be sure to clean up any ice orwater that may have dropped on the floor.- Do not let the children hang on the ice dispenseror on the bucket. They may get hurt.- Be sure not to put your hand or any object into theice chute. It may cause personal injury or damagemechanical parts.Removing residual matter inside the watersupply line after installing filter.1. Turn ON the main water supply.2. Press the Water button and push the DispenserLever.3. Flush 1 gallons of water through the filter beforeuse. (Flush approximately 6 minutes.) This willclean the water supply system and remove airfrom the lines.4. Additional flushing may be required in somehouseholds.5. Open the refrigerator door and make sure thereare no water leaks coming from the water filter.A newly installed water filter cartridge maycause water to briefly spurt from the waterdispenser.
