To give youpreparation time to get a new filter, the red light willcome on just before the capacity of the current filterruns out. Changing the filter on time provides you withthe freshest, cleanest water from your fridge.To change the water filter, follow these steps:1. Turn the water filter 90˚counter-clockwise.2. Pull the water filter from thefilter housing.3. Insert new water filter insidethe filter housing.4. Turn the new water filter 90˚clockwise.5. Press the “Alarm/hold 3 sec for Filter Reset”button ( ) for about 3 seconds to reset thewater filter. The color of indicator changes from redto light off.A newly installed water filter cartridge maycause water to briefly spurt from the waterdispenser. This is due to air getting into theline. It should pose no problem to operation.Removing residual matter inside the watersupply line after installing a new filter1. Press the Water button, and then push theDispenser Lever with a cup or glass.2. Flush 1 gallon of water through the filter, onecup or glass at a time. (Flush approximately 6minutes.) This will clean the water supply systemand remove air from the lines.- Additional flushing may be required in somehouseholds.3. Open the refrigerator door and make sure thereare no water leaks coming from the water filter.Reverse Osmosis Water SupplyIMPORTANT : The pressure of the water supplycoming out of a reverse osmosis system going tothe water inlet valve of the refrigerator needs to bebetween 35 and 120 psi (241 and 827 kPa).If a reverse osmosis water filtration system isconnected to your cold water supply, the waterpressure to the reverse osmosis system needs to be aminimum of 40 to 60 psi (276 to 414 kPa.)If the water pressure to the reverse osmosis system isless than 40 to 60 psi (276 to 414 kPa):• Check to see whether the sediment filter in thereverse osmosis system is blocked.
