setting up _0701 SETTING uPSETTING uP THE REFRIGERATORNow that you have your new Refrigerator installed inplace, you are ready to set up and enjoy the featuresand functions of the appliance. By completing thefollowing steps, your Refrigerator should be fullyoperational. If not, first check the power supply andelectricity source or try the troubleshooting section atthe back of this user’s guide. If you have any furtherquestions, contact your Samsung Electronics servicecenter.1. Place the Refrigerator in an appropriate locationwith reasonable clearance between the wall andthe Refrigerator. Refer to installation instructions inthis manual.2. Once the Refrigerator is plugged in, make sure theinterior light comes on when you open the doors.3. Set the Temperature control to the coldesttemperature and wait for an hour. The Freezer willget slightly chilled and the motor will run smoothly.4. After powering the Refrigerator, it will take a fewhours to reach the appropriate temperature. Youcan store food and drinks in the Refrigerator afterthe temperature is sufficiently cool.SETTING uP THE REFRIGERATORDOORSIf your entrance won’t allow the refrigerator to passeasily through it, you can remove the doors.Separating the Water Supply Line from theRefrigerator1. Pull the two water lines (which are in the Fixer) outto the front.2. Remove two water lines (White one is for waterand the other one is for ice) by pressing thecoupler 1 and pulling the water line 2 away.Removing the freezer doorA few things to mention first.• Make sure that you lift the door straight up so thehinges are not bent or broken.• Be careful not to pinch the water tubing and wireharness on the door.• Place doors on a protected surface to preventscratching or damage.1. Remove a screw on the upper hinge cover 1 .With the door open, disengage the two lockingtabs with a flat-head screw driver 2 and removeit while the lifting up the rear of the cover 3 , andthen disconnect the wires by gently pulling themapart 4 .2. Removing the FIXER HINGE ,and next take off theupper hinge. Be careful that the door does not fallon you as you are removing it.Be sure to keep track of all parts you areremoving.3.
