66_ operatingHOW TO USE THE DISPENSERTouch the dispenser status on the Home screen toselect the type of ice you want. Place your cup underthe ice outlet and push gently against the dispenserlever. Make sure the glass is in line with the dispenserto prevent the ice from bouncing out. When Cubed Iceis selected after using the Crushed Ice feature, a smallamount of residual crushed ice might be produced.Please wait 2 seconds before removing theglass under the dispenser to prevent spills.If the Refrigerator door opens, the Dispenser does notwork.Ř Water Dispenser Installation After installation, pressthe dispenser arm for at least 2 minutes to removetrapped air from the water line and to fill the watersystem.Ř Do not pull the lever out. You could damage orbreak the lever’s spring.Ř To clean the ice bin/bucket, wash with a milddetergent, rinse well, and dry thoroughly it. Do notuse harsh or abrasive cleaners or solvents.Ř In case ice doesn’t come out, pull out the icebucket and press the test button located on theright side of ice maker.Ř Do not press the test button continuously whenthe tray is filled with ice or water. Water mayoverflow or ice may jam the bucket.Ř Normal UseTo fill the ice bucket to maximum capacity afterinstallation, follow these steps:1. Allow your refrigerator to operate and cool downfor 24 hours (or 1 full day).- Waiting 24 hours will allow your ice maker tocool properly.2. Dispense 4 to 6 ice cubes into the glass.3. After 8, and then 16 hours, dispense a full glass ofice.Ř When you press the Test button, you willhear the refrigerator chime (ding-dong).When the chime sounds, release the Testbutton.Ř The chime sounds automatically again to let youknow the ice maker is working well.If a power failure occurs, ice cubes may meltthen freeze together when the power comesback on, causing the dispenser to be out oforder.To prevent this problem, after a power failure, pull outthe ice bucket and discard the residual ice or water.After you dump the ice from the ice bucket,you should press the dispenser lever oncewith the ‘CUBED’ or ‘CRUSHED’ function ON.The ice maker will make new ice faster after you returnthe ice bucket in the refrigerator.If you use all the ice at once, you must repeatSteps 2 and 3 on the previous page. However,only wait 8 hours before dispensing the first4 to 6 ice cubes.
