English - 2502 OPERATING• Delay Appliance Load (L3): The refrigeratorresponds to a DAL signal by providing amoderate load reduction for the duration of thedelay period.This function controls functions that consumea lot of energy such as adjusting the Coolingsystem, running the defrost cycle, and makingice.- When the refrigerator operates in DAL (L3)mode, “L3” is displayed on the refrigeratordisplay.- DAL mode is automatically deactivated afterit lasts for the amount of time stipulated bythe DAL signal (max. 4.5 hours) or when theOverride key is pressed.• Temporary Appliance Load Reduction (L4):The refrigerator responds to a TALR signal byaggressively reducing the load for a short timeperiod.This function reduces energy consumption bystopping the compressor and controlling thefunctions that consume a lot of energy such asthe defrost cycle and making ice.)- When the refrigerator operates in TALR (L4)mode, “L4” is displayed on the refrigeratordisplay.- TALR (L4) mode is automatically deactivatedafter it lasts for the received duration (max. 15minutes), or when the Override key is pressed.The mode is immediately deactivated and therefrigerator returns to the normal state whenthe door is opened or closed, or the dispenseris used.Override ModeWhen you want to ignore the SMART GRID(Demand Response) signal from the UtilityCompany, you can activate OVERRIDE mode.If OVERRIDE mode is activated, the SMARTGRID (Demand Response) signal is ignored andthe refrigerator will not be controlled by the UtilityCompany.Activating and deactivating Overridemode1. Press and hold the [Power Freeze] button for 3seconds.2. A buzzer sounds and `Or’ and `on’ is displayedin the freezer and fridge temperature displaysfor 5 seconds.3. If the refrigerator receives a SMART GRID(Demand Response) signal from the UtilityCompany, `Or’ is displayed in the freezertemperature display.4. To deactivate OVERRIDE mode, press and holdthe [Power Freeze] button for 3 seconds.5.
