66 2C. Settings The two main components are Contacts andCalendar Events. Before these can besynchronized, they must be added to themanaged accounts list.Synchronizing Your Google AccountBy default, there are no accounts managed by thedevice. These must be manually added.To add and manage an existing Google account:1. Press > > > Accounts & sync.2. Tap Add account > Google.3. Click Next > Sign in.4. Touch the Username (@gmail.com) and Passwordfields and enter your information.5. Tap Sign in. Your device then communicates withthe Google servers to confirm your information.Your existing Gmail account then appears withinthe Manage accounts area of the screen. Any changes or updates to your Gmail accountare then automatically updated to your device.To configure the Google management settings:1. Press > > > Accounts & sync.2. Tap within the Google account field to revealthe account’s synchronization settings screen.3. Tap the parameters you wish to synchronize (SyncBooks, Sync Contacts, Sync Gmail, Sync Calendar).A green checkmark indicates the feature isenabled.4.
