17Section 5: Call FunctionsThis section provides procedures for making and answeringcalls, and for reviewing your call time.Making a Call1. In Standby mode, enter an area code and a phone number.2. To make the call, press . (Adjust the volume with theVolume key.)3. To end the call, press .Tip: To re-dial your last call, press twice.To re-dial other recent calls, press , highlight a call, and pressagain.Emergency CallsWhen you call an Emergency Number, such as 911, your SCH-r330 phone locks itself in Emergency mode, only allowing you tomake calls to the emergency call center you originally contacted.This lets emergency operators more easily dispatch aid, such aspolice, fire fighters, and emergency medical personnel.1. In Standby mode, enter the Emergency Number you wishto call.Note: You can define up to 3 emergency numbers in your phone. (For moreinformation, see “Emergency #” on page 73.)2. Press .Tip: If you need to make an emergency (911) call with Airplane modeenabled, just dial the emergency number and press . (For moreinformation, see “Airplane Mode” on page 72.)3. To confirm that you want to exit Emergency mode, pressYes.Three-Way CallingDuring a call, Three-Way Calling lets you call a third party andconnect them to your existing call.1. During a call, ask the other party to remain on the line.2. Enter a third party’s phone number and press .3. When the third party answers, press to connect allparties to the same call.
