Call Functions 18Dialing International NumbersCall Another Country — Manual Method1. In Standby mode, enter 011 (the three-digit exit code forthe United States).2. Enter the country code for the country that you are calling.3. Enter the number that you wish to call, then press .Note: Puerto Rico and Canada are on the North American dialing plan.Making calls to Puerto Rico and Canada is similar to making callswithin the United States, no unique country codes are necessary.Call Another Country — Shortcut Method1. In Standby mode, press and holduntil a plus sign (+) appears inthe display.Note: When you press , your phoneautomatically replaces this + with 011, thethree-digit exit code for the United States.2. Enter the country code for the country that you are calling,or press and hold until a second plus sign (+) appearsin the display.Tip: If you place most or all of your internationalcalls to numbers in the same country, set-upthe International Dialing shortcut to dial thatcountry’s code for you. Enter the number that you wish to call, then press .Manual Pause CallingTo manually call a number with pause(s) without storing it in yourContacts list:1. In Standby mode, enter the number you wish to call.2. Press Options. The following pause options appear in thedisplay:• 2-Sec Pause — A 2-second pause after which dialing resumes.• Wait — A hard pause (waits for input from you).3. Select the desired pause to enter it into the numbersequence.4. Press to call the number.Tip: Press Save to store pauses along with the number if you plan to call thenumber frequently.
