Messaging 64Note: This function erases all messages in a selected box. To delete a singlemessage, open the box from the Messages menu, highlight a message,open the message if you want, then press Erase to delete it.1. In Standby mode, press the Msgs soft key, then selectErase Messages.The following options appear in the display:• Inbox — Deletes all unlocked messages stored in the Inbox.• Outbox — Deletes all unlocked messages stored in the Outbox.• Drafts — Deletes all unlocked messages stored in the Drafts box.• All Messages — Deletes all unlocked messages stored in all of themessage boxes, except Voicemail.2. Select the messages that you wish to delete. You’reprompted to confirm the erasure of all messages in theselected box or in all boxes.3. To delete the messages, press the Yes soft key. To canceldeleting the messages, press the No soft key.Message SettingsUse the Msg Settings sub-menus to define general settings andtext message settings.General Message Settings1. In Standby mode, press the Msgs soft key, then press MsgSettings ➔ General.The following options appear in the display:• Auto Save — Choose whether messages are saved automaticallywhen you exit them (On, Off, Prompt).• Auto Erase — Choose to receive (On) or not receive (Off) awarning message when you delete a message.• Quick Text — Edits pre-composed messages to insert into newmessages.• Voicemail # — Edits or views your Voicemail number.• Entry Mode — Choose the default method for entering text intomessages (T9 word, T9 Word, T9 WORD, abc, Abc, ABC, 123).• Callback # — Choose whether to include a callback phonenumber with outgoing messages, and enter the number to include.• Signature — Choose whether to include a text signature inoutgoing message text, and enter the text to include.• Reminder — Select whether and how often you hear and/or feel areminder that you received a message (Once, Every 2 Minutes,Every 15 Minutes, Off).2. Select the desired option to enter the highlighted option’ssub-menu.
