Open the flip, then press and hold for two ormore seconds.As with any other radio-transmitting device, do not touch theantenna as it affects call quality and may cause the phone tooperate at a higher power level than is necessary.2. Your service provider’s name momentarily appears in thedisplay and the phone begins searching for anetwork signal.3. Once the phone finds a signal, the time, date, and dayappear in the display (in CDMA mode only).4. You’re now ready to place and receive calls.If the phone is outside of the Verizon Wireless coverage orroaming area, appears in the top of the display. If you aretraveling outside the U.S., it may be necessary to switch toGSM (Int’l) mode.
