The button changes to Bluetooth (On).Visible ModeWhen your Omnia is visible, other devices will automatically detect it while searching forcompatible Bluetooth wireless technology enabled devices with which to connect. Yourphone must be on and you have to turn on the embedded Bluetooth radio.When the visible mode is active, a message displays when another device attempts toestablish a bond or connect with your phone. You must accept the incoming beam toexchange data or information with other compatible Bluetooth wireless technologyenabled devices.Making your Omnia VisibleTo set your phone to be visible by other devices, follow these steps:1. From the Today screen, drag and drop the Wireless Manager widgetonto the Today screen.2. Tap the Bluetooth Settings icon > Mode tab.3. Place a checkmark in the “Turn on Bluetooth” check box by tapping thescreen.4. Place a checkmark in the “Make this device visible to other devices” checkbox. Other common devices can now detect your device and attempt to beaminformation to it, establish a connection, or use a Bluetooth service.5. Tap to save your changes and return to the previous screen.Note: If you do not want your Omnia to be visible, clear the “Make this device visible toother devices” check box.Bluetooth BondsA bond is a relationship that you create between your Omnia and another Bluetoothwireless technology enabled device to exchange information in a secure manner. Creatinga bond involves entering the same Passkey on the two devices sharing a bond. Once abond is created between devices, the devices do not have to be visible to exchangeinformation; however, each device must have its Bluetooth radio on.
