Thisprevents you from making or receiving calls, but allows you to use other features(such as the Tools) safely in sensitive environments, such as on board an aircraft.1. In standby mode, press the Menu (left) soft key ( ), then press(for Settings), (for Phone Settings), and for AirplaneMode.The following options appear in the display:• On — Disables the radio transmitter and receiver in your phone.• Off — Enables the radio transmitter and receiver in your phone.2. Use the Navigation key to highlight the desired option, then press the OK(left) soft key ( ) to save your setting.LanguageThe language option on your phone can change the language of voice prompts,menus, and key-input.1. Use the Navigation key to highlight your language preference, then pressthe OK (left) soft key ( ) to save your setting.Security SettingsUse the Security menu to lock your phone, set up emergency numbers, enable ordisable voice privacy, set restrictions, as well as other security options.Lock PhoneLocking the phone limits all outgoing calls except calls to 911 emergency and thethree user-programmable emergency numbers. You can lock the phone manuallyduring use, or set the phone to lock automatically when it is turned on. With thephone in lock mode, you can answer incoming calls, but you must unlock the phoneto place outgoing calls (except to emergency and secret numbers).1.
