Messaging 75Erasing MessagesErasing MessagesYou can delete all of the messages in each/all of your message folders from oneconvenient location.Note: This function deletes all messages in a selected message folder or in all message folders. To delete asingle message, from the Messages menu, open the message folder where the message to bedeleted is stored, then select and delete the message from the Options menu.1. In standby mode, press the Message (right) soft key ( ), then pressfor Erase Messages. The following options appear in the display:• Inbox — Lets you delete all unlocked messages from your Inbox.• Outbox — Lets you delete all unlocked messages from your Outbox.• Drafts — Lets you delete all unlocked draft messages from the Drafts folder.• All Messages — Lets you delete all unlocked messages from all messagefolders.2. Use the Navigation key to highlight the folder containing the messages thatyou wish to delete, then press the OK (left) soft key ( ). You areprompted to confirm the erasure of all messages in the folder.3. To delete all unlocked messages from the selected folder(s), press the Yes(left) soft key ( ).To retain all messages in the selected folder(s), press the No (left) soft key( ).Message SettingsThe Msg Settings options let you define numerous message content and handlingsettings such as ringer types and save options.1. In standby mode, press the Message (right) soft key ( ), then press(for Msg Settings). The following Msg Setting sub-menus appear inthe display:• General — Settings that apply to all messages.• Text Message — Settings that apply to text messages.2. Use the Navigation key to highlight the desired sub-menu. Press thekey to enter the sub-menu. The following options appear in the display:• General– Auto Save — Lets you elect to automatically save received messages (On), notsave received messages (Off), or Prompt for saving received messages, untilmemory is full and depending on the Auto Erase setting.– Auto Erase — Automatically erase oldest received message(s) after memory isfull.
