This may save youthe time and expense of an unnecessary service call.When you switch your phone on, one of the followingmessages appearsInsert SIM Card♦Check that the SIM card is correctly installed.Phone Locked Enter Password♦The automatic locking function has been enabled. You must enter thephone’s password before you can use the phone.Enter PIN♦You are using your phone for the first time. You must enter the PersonalIdentification Number (PIN) supplied with the SIM card.♦The PIN Check feature is enabled. Every time the phone is switched on,the PIN has to be entered. To disable this feature, use the Check PINCode menu (see Security in “Set Phone” on page 146).Enter PUK♦The PIN code was entered incorrectly three times in succession and thephone is now blocked. Enter the PUK supplied by your service provider.Phones use both PIN1 and PIN2 codes, which require PUK1 and PUK2codes to unblock. Make sure you know which PIN code is locked andapply the correct PUK code.
