Call Functions25Making a Call from the Contacts ListYou can store phone numbers that you use regularly in the SIM card or thephone’s memory. These entries are collectively grouped in Contacts, oneof your phone’s main menus.For details on using the Contacts menu, see “Contacts” on page 131.Adjusting the VolumeTo adjust the earpiece volume during a call, use the Volume key on the leftside of the phone.Press the upper half of the key to increase the volume level and thelower half of the key to decrease the level.In Idle mode, this key adjusts the ringtone volume.Answering a CallWhen a call is received, the phone rings and displays the caller’s phonenumber. If the caller can be identified and their name is stored in yourContact List, the name is displayed.To answer a call:1. Press the key or the Accept soft key to answer the incomingcall.If the Any Key option in the Call Answer menu is activated, you canpress any key to answer a call except the key and the Rejectsoft key (see the Call Answer section in “General” on page 148 formore information).If the Open Slide option in the Call Answer menu is activated, youcan answer the call simply by opening the phone (see Call Answersection in “General” on page 148 for more information).
