92Sound SettingsYou can use the Sound settings feature tocustomise various settings, such as the:• ring tone, volume and type for incoming calls ormessages.• sounds made when your call is connected orwhen you press a key.• Quiet Mode to which your phone switches whenyou hold down the key.Incoming Calls (Menu 3.1)This option allows you to set up the ringer forincoming calls.Note: If your SIM card supports the ALS (AlternateLine Service) feature, you must select the lineyou wish to change first.The following options are available:Each time you select a melody from the list, it playsthe melody.Default melodies: allows you to select one of thepredefined melodies.My sounds: allows you to select one of soundsreceived from other sources, such as the WAP sites,the EasyStudio PC software or multimediamessages.Ring volume: allows you to adjust the ringvolume. Use the Up and Down keys or the volumekeys on the left side of the phone. The more barsyou see, the louder the volume.Sound Settings93Alert type: lets you specify how you are informedof any incoming calls.Melody: the phone rings using the melody selectedvia the Melody option.
