Messages94Settings (Menu 5.1.5)In this menu, you can set up default SMS/EMSinformation. A setting group is a collection ofsettings required to send text messages. Thenumber of setting groups available depends on thecapacity of your SIM card.Notes:• The setting options available in this menu may vary,depending on your service provider.• The last setting you accessed is automaticallyactivated for sending subsequent messages.Setting x (where x is the setting group number):each group has its own sub-menu.Setting name: allows you to give a name to thesetting group currently being defined.Service center: allows you to store or change thenumber of your message center, which is requiredwhen sending messages. You must obtain thisnumber from your service provider.Default destination: allows you to store a defaultdestination number. The number automaticallydisplays on the Destination screen when you createa message.Default type: allows you to set the default messagetype to Text, Fax, Email, or Paging. The networkcan convert the messages into the selected format.Validity period: allows you to set the length of timeyour text messages are stored in the messagecenter while attempts are made to deliver them.
