Menu functions Messages (Menu 5)49Viewing a message at the time of its receiptWhen a message has been received, the phone alertsyou by:• Displaying a message icon with text notification• Sounding a tone or vibrating, depending on themessage alert setting.To read a message immediately, press <View> andselect a message from the Inbox.For an MMS message, press <Options> and selectRetrieve. The message is downloaded from the MMSserver to the phone’s memory.Viewing a message in InboxThe following icons may appear on the message list;depending on the message type or status, icons mayvary:• SMS• MMS• MMS notification; indicates that an MMS isbeing retrieved from the server andindicates that retrieval has failed• WAP push messages/OTA messages• CB messages• Delivery report for your sent messagesWhile viewing the message list, press <Options> toaccess the following options:• View: open the message.• Retrieve: retrieve the MMS message from theserver.• Delete: delete the message.• Move to My folder: move the message to one ofthe folders you have created in the My foldersmenu.• According to the DRM (Digital RightsManagement) system, messages having webcontent may not be able to be forwarded.They are indicated by .• A ! icon next to a message means that amessage is of high priority. A grey-colouredmessage icon is of low priority.Options may vary depending on your country orservice provider.
