Settings163Security (Menu 9.6)The Security feature enables you to restrict the useof your phone by others and to restrict the types ofcalls made.Various codes and passwords are used to protectthe features of your phone. They are described inthe following sections. Also see pages 170-173.PIN check (Menu 9.6.1)When the PIN Check feature is enabled, you mustenter your PIN each time you switch on the phone.Consequently, any person who does not have yourPIN cannot use your phone without your approval.Note: Before disabling the PIN Check feature, youmust enter your PIN.The following options are available:Disable: the phone connects directly to thenetwork when you switch it on.Enable: you must enter the PIN each time thephone is switched on.Change PIN (Menu 9.6.2)This feature allows you to change your current PINto a new one, provided that the PIN Check featureis enabled. You must enter the current PIN beforeyou can specify a new one.Once you have entered a new PIN, you are asked toconfirm it by entering it again.
