Entering text38To add a new word into the T9 dictionary:1. After pressing the keys corresponding to theword you want to add, press the 0 or Down keyto display the alternative words.2. When there are no more alternative words, thedisplay shows Add on the bottom line. Press theAdd soft key or key.3. If necessary, clear the word using the C key andenter the word you want to add using Alphabetmode; see page 39.4. Press the OK soft key or key.The word is added to the T9 dictionary andbecomes the first word for the associatedkeypress series.Note: This feature may not be available for somelanguages.• To enter periods, hyphens, or apostrophes, pressthe 1 key. T9 mode applies grammar rules toensure that correct punctuation is used.• To shift case in T9 mode, use the key. Thereare three cases; Initial Capital ( ), Capital lock( ), and Lower case ( ).• You can move the cursor by pressing the Left orRight key. To delete letters, press the C key. Pressand hold the C key to clear the display.
