Contacts52If you press with viewing the details, you canaccess the following options:Talk: dials the number.Add #: allows you to add a new entry or anumber to the current entry.Edit: allows you to edit the phone number, name,location number, category and so on.Prepend: allows you to add digits, such as areacodes and network feature activation codes to aphone number.Erase: erases the number.Name Ring: allows you to specify a unique toneor melody to alert you to an incoming call from thenumber.E-mail address: allows you to store an e-mailaddress in the entry.Add New Entry (Menu 2-2)This menu allows you to store a number with aname in the Contacts. You can save a person’svarious numbers, such as workplace number,mobile number and fax number, into one entry.Using this feature, you can keep someone’sinformation together. It also helps you to findnumbers easily in the Contacts.Contacts53Creating a New Entry1. When you are prompted to confirm adding anew entry, press .2. Enter a phone number and press .3. Highlight the desired option you want tocustomize by pressing or , Thefollowing options are available:• Name: allows you to enter a name of up to20 characters. For further information onhow to enter text, see page 36.• Entry: the first available location displays. Ifnecessary, enter the location number usingthe number keys.• Secret Off/On: allows you to set thenumber to secret. This prevents a numberfrom being displayed when it is accessed ordialed by unauthorized users. Only a personwith your phone’s lock code can view thesecret number.• Speed Dial: allows you to select thecategory of number to be stored. Theavailable categories are Home, Work,Mobile, Pager, Fax, and No Label.• Group: allows you to select one of fourpredefined relation groups, where the entryis included. Grouping the entries enables youto locate only the numbers in the desiredgroup.• Inactive: allows you to specify a unique ringtype for the entry. By selecting differenttones, incoming voice calls having a caller IDcan be distinguished from those that do not.
