For further information on how to enter thecharacters in your message, refer to page 31.1. Press the key to select a setting group in whichyou set up default information on the SMS featurevia the Setup menu (see the following page), andpress the OK soft key.2. After you complete the message, press the OK softkey.Note: While writing a message, pressing the keyinserts a carriage return.3. Select the desired one of the following options bypressing and press OK soft key.• Send Only: After transmission, the message willbe cleared.• Save and Send: allows you to save a copy ofthe message. You can read the message in youroutbox using the Read Messages option. Sentis displayed when you read the message toindicate the message status.• Save Only: allows you to save the message sothat it can be sent later. When you read themessage in your outbox, Not sent is displayed.4. Enter the destination (phone number or e-mailaddress) and press the OK soft key to transmit themessage.To view this message, press the View soft key. Thescreen shows the:• Sender’s phone number (if sent with the message)or recipient’s phone number• Message textTo scroll through the message, press the key.You can choose the following options, by pressingthe Options soft key.Delete: allows you to delete obsolete messages.Text Reply: allows you to reply by sending a textmessage.Call Back: allows you to call the sender back.Cut Number: allows you to extract a number fromthe message text, so that you can call the number orsave it in the phonebook.Send: allows you to send a message that you havereceived or saved. You can:• Send the message• Save and send the message• Save but not send the messageEdit Message: allows you to edit a message.Note: The available options may vary, depending onthe message status (New/Old, Not Sent orSent for example).
