Shutter Priority] and [Movie] modes.Exposure compensation buttonThis camera adjusts the appropriateamount of exposure automatically fora shooting situation. The user can usethe exposure compensation button toshoot with excessive exposure (brightimages) or insufficient exposure (darkimages). The range of exposure com-pensation is -2 to +2 (EV), and can be set with intervals of 1/3 EV. How to set exposure compensation1. Press the exposure compensationbutton in the shooting mode.2. Set a desired exposure compensationvalue by using the LEFT/RIGHT but-tons or the Smart Dial.3. Press the OK button to save a configured value and the settingfor exposure compensation is complete. The exposure com-pensation icon ( ) appears on the LCD monitor after settingthe exposure compensation, if the exposure compensationvalue is not 0.0EV.Ä Note that the LCD monitor looks blurry or good images can’tbe obtained if [+] exposure compensation is made.
