Samsung iDCS500 SLT User Guide–8–CALL PROCESSINGHOLDING CALLSWhen you are connected to any call:• Press Recall, listen for transfer tone and dial 11. The call will now be on hold.You may now make or receive a second call.(Be aware that pressing the Recall key only will not put a call on hold: the call willreconnect to your handset after a few seconds.)To take the caller off hold:• Lift the handset and dial 11. You are now reconnected to the call and can re-sume your conversation.Note: You can put only one call on hold at a time.HOLD RECALLIf you leave a call on hold longer than the pre-programmed hold timer, it will recallyour station.When your phone rings, lift the handset to answer the recall. If you do not answerthis recall within a pre-programmed time, it will go to the system operator.RETRIEVING CALLS ON HOLD ATANOTHER STATIONWhen a call is on hold at any other station:• Lift the handset and dial 12 plus the extension number of the station that placedthe call on hold —OR— dial 12 plus the line number (if you know what it is).CONSULTATION HOLDWhen you are speaking on an external line and it is necessary to consult with an-other extension without transferring the call:1. Press Recall and listen for transfer tone. Your call is placed on transferhold.2. Dial an extension number.3. Consult with the internal party (the external party cannot hear you).
