14TROUBLESHOOTINGSometimes a simple operational error or a mistake in the wiring can appear to be a problem with the unit.Before having the unit serviced, refer to the troubleshooting chart below.The compact disc does notplay when inserted into theunit.No power.The unit does not work prop-erly (Eject, Load, Play)The sound from the CD playerskips.No radio reception.The radio does not stop onany stations when automatictuning is used.The volume control is turneddown.The power connections arenot wired correctly.The vehicle ignition isswitched off.The fuse is blown.The microcomputer has beenaffected by electrical noise.The road surface is rough.The unit is not mounted se-curely.The disc is defective.The disc is dirty.The antenna cable is not con-nected.The signal are weak.Turn up the volume control.Check the +12V and groundconnections.Switch the ignition to the “ON”or “ACC” position.Replace the fuse with another10A fuse.Eject the disc, then insert itagain.Wait for the road surface to im-prove before playing a disc.Install the unit securely. Be sureto use the rear strap if the vehi-cle does not provide support forthe rear of the unit.
