62Turn off the projector, press the Main On/Off Switch toOff and unplug the AC power cord from the AC outlet.First, clean up the dust on the projector and around theair vents.12Slide and open the Filter cover. (See the right figure.)3Put the new one back into the position until it clicks andclose the filter cover. Make sure that the filter cartridgeis properly and fully inserted.5CAUTIONMake sure the filter cartridge is inserted in theprojector. If the filter cartridge is not inserted, theprojector cannot be turned on.Make sure the filter cover is closed when using theprojector.Do not put anything into the air vents. Doing somay result in malfunction of the projector.4Reset the filter counter and the scroll counter (p.63).6Filter coverReplacing the Filter CartridgePull out the filter cartridge by holding the finger grip.RECOMMENDATIONWe recommend avoiding dusty/smoky environments whenoperating the projector Usage in these environments maycause a poor image qualityWhen using the projector under dusty or smoky conditions,dust may accumulate on a lens, liquid crystal panels, or opticalelements inside the projector. Such condition may degrade thequality of the projected image.When the symptoms above are noticed, contact your authorizeddealer or service station for proper cleaning.ORDER REPLACEMENT FILTER CARTRIDGEReplacement filter cartridge can be ordered through yourdealer.
