The level oftechnology employed in the TM8100 generation of radios is an order ofmagnitude greater than in earlier generations. This greater sophisticationdemands special equipment and techniques for level-3 repairs. Althoughother service centres are strongly advised not to attempt such repairs,those with sufficient resources and skilled technicians may wish to do so.These service centres should contact Technical Support for assistance andfor the necessary documentation. TEL does not offer accreditation forlevel-3 repairs to any service centres other than the ISC.1.5 Product CodesIntroduction This subsection describes the product codes used to identify differentproducts of the mobile radio product line. The product-code scheme ingeneral is first explained, and then the product codes for the radio bodyand control head in particular.
