In addition, several directories canbe combined into one directory. This results in multiplelayers of directories and files.NOTEMP3 file formatted at 44,1 kHz sampling rate and 128kbps or higher are required, otherwise, that MP3 filecannot be played back.Each MP3 file is handled as a track.When the Directory mode is on, only those files within aselected directory are available for playback.When the directory mode is off, the directory configura-tion is ignored, and all MP3 files recorded on the disc areavailable for playback. Please note that Program playbackand Repeat playback only function within directories.NOTEDirectories which do not contain MP3 files directlyunder them cannot be selected for playback. Forexample, in the diagram below, under directory A aredirectory B and C containing MP3 files in both direc-tories which can be selected for playback. However,directory A showing 0Tr for its total track numbercannot be selected for playback.When an MP3 disc is created in an ordinary PC, most-ly, the files (tracks) are shown in the alphabetic order.However, the CC-222SL gives track numbers to MP3files in the order that the files were written on the disc,so the file order shown on this unit may be differentfrom the ones on PC.The CC-222SL can play back MP3 files recorded informats which conform to ISO9660 level 1, level 2, and theJoliet extensions.
