TASCAM CD-450 7General Guide1 POWER Switch2 Headphone Volume Control (PHONES)3 Headphone Jack4 Disc Tray5 Numeric KeypadThis is used to enter tack numbers, index numbers andtime points.6 CLEAR KeyThis key is used to clear wrong numbers you’ll enteron the numeric keypad or to clear all your preferencesettings (p.9) at once.7 Disc Tray OPEN/CLOSE Button8 SEARCH MODE KeyThree search modes are available: Track, Time, andIndex, as selected with this switch. ®Search Opera-tions, p.99 END OF MESSAGEThis indicator lights when playing tracks near theirend. ®Preference Settings, p.9A DisplayShows what’s going on during play and other variousinformation.B SKIP KeysUsed to skip directly to the beginning of the currenttrack or to the beginning of the succeeding track.C SEARCH KeysAllow you to hear the disc play at high speeds in theforward direction or in reverse as long as you holdeither of these keys down.D STOP KeyE PLAY KeyF READY KeyThis key puts the deck into Ready-for-play mode.G CALL KeyThe point where you press PLAY to leave the readymode and start playing is stored in memory, and youcan go back to that point by pressing this CALL key.H AUTO READY KeyWhen this key is pressed on, the deck goes into Readymode at the beginning of each tack or at the beginningof an A-B loop.I AUTO CUE KeyWhen this key is pressed on and you perform a tracksearch, the deck goes into Ready mode at the "firstaudio" of that track. The sensitivity of the auto cue cir-cuit is adjustable. ®Preference Settings, p.9J INCR (Incremental) PLAY KeyWhen this key is pressed on, each time you press PLAYduring play, the next track starts playing. ® p.10K PITCH CONTrolA pitch change of up to +12% and down to –12% isavailable in 1% steps. ® p.10L SINGLE KeyWhen this key is active and you start playing, only thecurrent track is played back through.M REPEAT KeyEnables the whole disc, or, used in conjunction withthe SINGLE key, a single track, to play over and overagain. ®p.10N DISPLAY KeySelects ELAPSED, REMAIN or TOTAL REMAINdisplays.
