52 TASCAM DR-05X12 – Settings and InformationViewing information (INFORMATION)Use the INFORMATION screen to view various types of infor-mation about this unit.Follow the steps below to display the INFORMATION screen.1. Press the MENU button to open the MENU screen.2. Use the + and – buttons to select (highlight) the OTHERSmenu item, and press the 7 button to open the OTHERSscreen.3. Use the + or − button to select INFORMATION, and pressthe 7 button.The INFORMATION screen contains the following three pages.Use the + or − button to move through the pages.i File information page (FILE)Shows information about the currently loaded file.i Card information page (CARD)Shows the use status of the currently inserted microSDcardi System information page (SYSTEM)Shows the unit’s system setting information and firmwareversion.File information page (FILE)The FILE page shows information about the currentlyselected file.WAV/MP3This hows the audio file format.For WAV files, bit length, stereo/mono, and samplingfrequency (Hz) also appear.For MP3 files, the bit rate (kbps), CBR (constant bit rate) orVBR (variable bit rate) type, and sampling frequency (Hz) alsoappear.TITLEShows the file name.If an MP3 file has ID3 tag title information that informationappears.DATEDate of file creationSIZEFile sizeCard information pageThe CARD page shows the status of the currently insertedmicroSD card.TOTAL MUSICShows the number of playable files in the MUSIC Folder.TOTAL FOLDERShows the total number of folders in the MUSIC folder.TOTAL SIZEShows the total microSD card capacity.REMAIN SIZE / USED SIZEShows the amount of unused/used capacity on the microSDcard.Press the . or / button to switch between REMAINSIZE and USED SIZE.System information pageThe SYSTEM page shows information about the unit’s systemsettings and firmware version.AUTO OFFShows the automatic power OFF setting.BACKLIGHTShows the automatic backlight OFF setting.BATTERY TYPEShows the battery type setting.VERSIONShows the system firmware version.
